THIS IS THE LEGACY SITE for The Gwinn Sawyer Area Chamber of Commerce. Formed in 1984 it promoted businesses and tourism for many years. Janette Maki created the Chamber in 1984 and served as the President until the Chamber dissolved in 2015.

With over 52 lakes in our wonderful, relaxing, recreational area, you can enjoy canoeing, boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, and camping. Our lakes are surrounded by beautiful woods where you can hunt, enjoy peaceful walks, or take to the hundreds of miles of trails on your snowmobile.
Our winter provides an opportunity for snowmobiling, cross country and downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and just plain ol' fun. There are many winter carnivals, sports, and other events in the surrounding area.
In the summer, you can golf at our nearby 18 hole course, pick blueberries, enjoy peaceful walks by lakes and streams, camp, visit our museum, shop in our many stores, or just relax.
Truly, we consider ourselves "The Treasure In The Pines."
