THE END OF AN ERA  1995
    • Sawyer AFB pulls out
    •      “SAWYER AIR FORCE BASE – On Oct. 1, the end of the Cold War and the budget cutting axe did what only several years ago was unthinkable.
    • The U.S. Air Force said good-bye to Sawyer Air Force Base, closing one of the Strategic Air Command’s original “northern tier” installations and ending a relationship that first started when Ike was in the White House……..”

  • 2000  -Sawyer Business Alliance merged with the Gwinn Area Chamber of Commerce

  • 2001 – Published 19,000 “Sawyer in Review”
  • 2001 – Hosted State Chamber Leadership Academy
  • 2002 – Finalist 9th Annual Governor’s Award
